Georgia’s Ban on Gender-Affirming Care for Youth Is Back In Effect

A U.S. district court judge in Georgia has allowed the state’s ban on gender-affirming medical care for minors to be enforced once again, less than three weeks after issuing an injunction against it. In a decision filed Tuesday, Judge Sarah Geraghty stayed her own injunction against Georgia’s Senate Bill 140, which bans minors from receiving hormone therapy specifically to treat gender dysphoria.
