Obama to Propose Larger Subsidies for Child Care
President Obama on Thursday will unveil new proposals for more generous subsidies to help working Americans afford child care, appearing at the University of Kansas on his second stop in two days promoting his economic agenda in a solidly Republican state.
Mr. Obama will call for a “landmark investment” in the Child Care and Development Fund, an existing federal program that helps low- and middle-income families with children age 3 or younger pay for child care, according to the White House.
