Private Autopsy Report Released In Death Of Fulton County Inmate

ATLANTA, GA — The cause of death for Lashawn Thompson, an inmate who died at the Fulton County Jail in September 2022, was due to "criminal negligence" and cardiac arrhythmia, according to attorneys for the family at a Monday press conference. Attorney Benjamin Crump and Attorney Michael Harper cited an independent autopsy report paid for by former NFL player and civil rights activist Colin Kaepernick.
