Nebraska Reproductive Rights Activists Launch Abortion Measure Initiative

A Nebraska abortion rights grassroots coalition known as “Protect our Rights” has officially launched a campaign to put a proposed constitutional amendment on next year’s ballot that would enshrine a protection for abortion rights into the state constitution. On Wednesday, the state’s Secretary of State announced the language of the proposed measure, which would protect abortion until fetal viability and when necessary to protect the life or health of the mother.
