New healthcare initiative launches for homeless in Laredo

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Gateway Community Center introduced its “Heroes of Healthcare” services Monday, June 24, aimed at providing essential medical care to homeless individuals. Within the first 90 days, the initiative has assisted 93 patients through 168 visits. Services include delivering medications, conducting lab tests, performing x-rays, and offering mental health support.
