Mass fostering and vaccinations saves 130 dogs from Midland distemper crisis

The city of Midland has confirmed that 93% of dogs rescued from the Midland Animal Shelter canine distemper crisis survived because they were vaccinated. During a 30-hour mass fostering effort held at the end of April, 130 dogs survived the canine distemper crisis that had broken out at the city's animal shelter.
