STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — First New York City, now upstate New York. An earthquake occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed. The a 3.4-magnitude quake occurred in Jefferson County, and was centered in Lake Ontario. It could be felt in parts of Canada, and Central and Northern New York, according to a map provided by the USGS. No injuries or damage were reported.
