Thunderstorms with damaging winds in Berks County Saturday

On Saturday at 7:46 p.m. a severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 8:30 p.m. for Berks County. Residents should prepare for wind gusts of up to 60 mph. "At 7:46 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Wyomissing, or near Reading, moving east at 35 mph," says the weather service. "Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible."
