FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Former Bison Wide Receiver Zach Mathis has found his home at the professional level.
The Edmonton Elks selected Mathis in the CFL’s supplemental draft.
The 6′7″, 203 pound receiver from Tampa, Florida caught 95 passes for 1,392 yards and nine touchdowns in his six years with the Bison.
Mathis had previously gone undrafted, but did receive a mini-camp invite from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Elks will now forfeit a first round pick in the 2025 CFL Draft in order to pick up Mathis.
