A horse that collapsed and died while pulling a carriage of tourists in Cape May last week have suffered a sudden blood clot or severe cardiac event, according to an autopsy shared with the company running the excursions.
The horse, named “Ice,” was otherwise “very healthy,” a team of veterinarians wrote in a necropsy report performed after the animal died Thursday.
