New Law Pressures Water Agencies To Meet 2040 Goals

Under the new law, there will be a gradual reduction of the amount of water that each of the state's 402 urban retail water agencies can use between 2027 and 2040. The law does not apply to individuals or households. Water agencies have flexibility to tailor their conservation strategies around their local needs and climate.
