Hurricane Beryl to make landfall in Mexico, reach Texas Gulf coast next week

Hurricane Beryl, now a Category 3 major hurricane, is on a path to cross over the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico early Friday before reaching Texas’ Gulf coast as a hurricane by early next week. Forecasters warned Thursday morning that those in southern Texas should closely monitor Beryl’s progress.
