Cal Fire Suspends Burn Permits In Monterey, San Benito Counties

Outdoor residential burn permits were suspended by Cal Fire on Thursday in San Benito County and Monterey County until further notice. Cal Fire's San Benito-Monterey Unit Chief George Nunez issued a proclamation on the morning of the Fourth of July that suspends burn permits, effective at 8 a.m., until the chief lifts the prohibition.
