Bruno Chemel, best known for the luxe Baumé in Palo Alto, will open his newest restaurant, Le Parc Bistrobar, at the Galleria Park Hotel in San Francisco’s Union Square on Monday, July 8. Inside, he is turning to more traditional French fare, with an eye toward affordability. Despite Chemel’s inclination for classic cooking, he is remixing some dishes to create a menu that feels more modern — the latest restaurant looking to revamp French cuisine in the Bay Area.
