Columbus Zoo announces death of bat-eared fox known for his 'playful spirit'

A bat-eared fox named Bruce who lived at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has died. Bruce, named after Batman character Bruce Wayne, was one of the zoo’s “most photogenic and beloved animals for guest engagement,” according to a Columbus Zoo Facebook post. The fox, a member of an African species, was a part of Jack Hanna’s Animal Encounters Village, an area that offers zoo visitor a chance to interact with wildlife.
