This unusual pink berry with a short season is selling out at Bay Area farmers’ markets

Lying in a wooden tray, the blueberries look like they haven’t quite ripened yet. Half pink and half cream, they have the coloring of a white nectarine instead of the powdery blue one might expect. But according to farmers at Triple Delight Blueberries, located in the San Joaquin Valley, they’re ready for sale. And in fact, when they’re brought to farmers’ markets around the Bay Area, they sell out long before the markets close. Called Pink Lemonade blueberries, this unique variety lacks most of the pigment that lends other blueberries...
