Trump pushes RNC to release new platform absent national abortion ban

The Republican National Committee is out with a new party platform, and its the first in 40 years to not include any mention of a national ban on abortion and contains no thoughts on marriage equality. The changes were apparently approved and come at the request of the party’s presumptive presidential nominee, former President Donald Trump, who has come out against a national ban on abortion after a Supreme Court stacked with his appointees overturned Roe v.
