NHC: A tropical depression could be heading toward Texas coast by midweek

A tropical wave in the western Gulf of Mexico is more likely to become a tropical depression, the National Hurricane Center said in a tropical weather forecast released Sunday morning. The wave has a 90% chance of formation over the next seven days, while chances of development for two other disturbances over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic have increased between 50% and 60%.
