Eastern Market is launching a $15.5 million fundraising campaign for market improvements and to expand its mission as an operating food district. The effort, announced Tuesday evening, comes just days after a shooting that left two people dead at one of Eastern Market's sheds designated as an area for Detroit Lions football tailgating.
