Spike in earthquakes detected around Kilauea, though no eruption just yet
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Officials at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park are keeping a close eye on another round of rumbling at the volcano. They say Kilauea is not erupting, however there was a sudden spike in earthquakes over the weekend. The activity was detected in the southeast area of the summit, near the Chain of Craters road between Puhimau and Luamanu craters.
