Tropical depression may form in the Atlantic Ocean as Debby remnants threaten the northeast
A tropical wave that hurricane forecasters spotted Thursday morning could form into a tropical depression in the Atlantic Ocean early next week, according to the National Hurricane Center of Miami. NHC forecasters also said that while Debby has downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, its remnants are threatening the northeast region with tornadoes and flooding Friday.
