Tropical depression could form in the Gulf next week, forecasters say
There is a medium chance a tropical depression forms in the Gulf of Mexico next week, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami. The chances that a tropical disturbance currently over the Yucatan Peninsula and Belize will develop within the next seven days were up to 50% Friday evening, forecasters said in a 6 p.m. update.
